We have a few of these Jose Benito boxes that look and sound fantastic.  They really work well with custom sound holes.  We'll work with you to get a sound hole shape you want - use the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page to start a dialog, then once we agree on a design you can place your order here.  below are a couple of recent builds we've completed.  One, a wolf howling at the mooon, the other a vulture flying across the sky and over the full moon.

These are available in either three or four string versions.  Necks are your choice of red oak or black walnut, fingerboards and bridges are walnut.  Key saddles are available for some builds.  All include our own acoustic pickup for playing thorugh an amp.

This is our unique stainless steel sound board cigar box guitar played by local guitar wizard Justn Johnson.  Justin's guitar is a one-of-a-kind buld and the sound it creates cannot be exactly replicated - kind of like Justin's playing.  But, we can come close to replicating the guitar.  A dual-piezo acoustic pickup under the bridge and a hot humbucker near the neck give this guitar a unique and wide ranging sound.  A toggle switch on the side allows selection between just the piezo pickup, just the magntic pickup, or both combined.

The neck is typically oak, the fingerboard, bridge and tailpiece walnut.  See below for other possible combinations.  All lumber used comes from trees I've harvested from my property in central North carolina.  I fell the trees, mill the timber and hand carve the necks with a spokeshave.

• You choice of standard tuners of skulls, either one in chrome or black (black skull tuners have red eyes)
• You choice of neck wood: oak or black walnut
• Your choice of fingerboard: oak, black walnut, ebonized black walnut or maple.

One of our standard license plate guitars with the plate of your choosing.  Simply send us the plate you want to use and we'll set it up.  Keep in mind the license plate remains completely intact and unharmed when turned into a guitar - you can remove it any time you wish.

This would be an excellent gift for a friend or colleague.  Choose a license plate for the year they were born, year they retired, got married, etc..   Choose a vanity plate they have on their car or truck, their favorite sports team, etc...  The possibilites are... well, they're not endless, but there are a lot of them!  Check out ebay for a variety of vintage and custom license plates.

We also have a supply of NC license plates from 1960 through the late 70s.  Check with us if you're intereted in a NC plate - if we have what you need we'll add it to a guitar at no additional cost.

These guitars are acoustic-electric like all of our gutars.  They sound great acoustic with loads of sustain from the license plate.  They sound even better amped.
